Welcome to the anniversary site for First Baptist Church in Huntsville, Alabama. As we celebrate 200 years of ministry and mission, we want to remember our past and look forward to the future. Our Theme Verse expresses these desires:
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith . . ."
Hebrews 12:1-2
The words that will define our celebration are THE FOOTPRINTS CONTINUE. A rich heritage of saints have gone before us and left their footprints in the great history of our church. The journey is not over, however. Our Bicentennial Celebration is about how the footprints of ministry and mission will continue into the next century.
